Comments are very important in any page or article in the websites. We use to comment on any article or page for many reasons which you can read below. While talking about comments, we must say that commenting system in blogger is more flexible and easy to use. And you have more control on your comments. Also blogger have an automatic way of detecting spam comments to keep your standard well.

According to my point of view our article readers comment on our blog post or page for the following reasons.

• When the problem of our reader solved from our article, He/She appreciate us for sharing that solution with comments.
• User comment sometimes to ask for more help for some related issue to that article.
• To show positive or negative behavior for the article writer.
• Refer that article to other readers.
• Asking for any question from the same article

Reasons to Disable Comments

Although we know that comments are very important for any of our blog page or article. But sometimes different situations compels us to disable comments for our readers. And these situations may be:

• Getting to many spam comments in which readers were trying to promote any link etc.
• When readers comment 18+ content or links on your article.
• If a blog post have too many comments and the post is very old, you can disable comments for it.
• Irrelevant commenting from users to our blog post.
• And the important point is to disable comments on About Us, Privacy Policy, Sitemap or Contact Us page. Because we don't need to receive comments on those pages.

Enable or Disable Blogger Comments

It is very simple to enable or disable the comments in any of the blogger page or article. We can make this change for the entire blog or for single page or article. I will share both ways with you in this articles separately. I hope you will get this easy point. Here we go

Enable or Disable Comments in entire Blog

To enable or disable comments on entire blog you need to follow these simple steps.

STEP 1

Login to your Blogger Account.

STEP 2

Click on the Settings in the left sidebar. And then Click on the Posts, Comments and Sharing button in the Setting menu.

STEP 3

You can change your comment's settings from this page. See Comment Location in this Page and change the setting from the drop down menu in front of it. Here are the Uses of all of them:

Embedded

We can use this option to show the comment box below every page and article in the blog. This is enabled in blogger by default.

Full Page

Full Page option leave a link below every page or article to navigate reader to leave a comment. And if user click on it, the comment box open in the separate page.

Pop-up Window

By this option when user click on Add a comment, a Pop-up Window opens and user write a comment in that window.

Hide

This option is used to Hide Comments everywhere in the blog. If you want to disable the comments, simply choose this option and click on Save Settings in top right corner.

So, you can choose your desired option for comments from one of them. Also below this option you can also select that who can comment on your Blog.

Enable or Disable Comments on Single Post or Page

To Disable or Enable comments on a single post or page, you need to follow these simple steps:

Step 1

Login to Your Blogger Account.

Step 2

Go to your desired Page or Post in which you want to Enable or Disable comments. And Click on the Edit below it to edit that post.

Step 3

You can see the Options Button in the right side bar of this page. Click on it and see the options. As you can see them in the picture below.

There are three options below Readers Comments in the Option Menu. And their uses are:

Allow

This option is used to Enable comments on the certain Post or Page. Click on it if you want to Enable comments on your Post or Page.

Don't Allow, Show Existing

This option is used to Disable comments on a post or page. But it shows the previous comments for that post or page.

Don't Allow, Hide Existing

This option Disable comments on a page or post. And also it hides the previous comments from that post or page.

Step 4

After selecting your personalized setting click on Done button below it. And Click on Update in the top menu to apply these settings to your post or page.
